The most usual species of fish are Trout, Eel and Char.
Because many of the inland waters have access to the sea through rivers, there are good possibilities to catch Sea trout and Salmon.

Several large inland waters where you can combine fishing and canoeing.
From the nearest inland water and toward West to the sea, there are several almost-connected waters where you can paddle your canoe to the sea on the West side of Sotra.

Not far from Sotra Rorbusenter (1.5 km.) the largest inland water on Sotra, "Kørelen".
It has a large amount of Trout, Eel and Char.
Catches of Trout larger than 4 kilos have been made here.
It is also good chances for Sea trout and small Salmon.
Sotra Villmarksenter, that lies close to "Kørelen", have canoes for rent that are suited for canoe trips and fishing in this water.

Sund Kommune can also offer more good inland waters for fishing in a short driving distance from Sotra Rorbusenter.

In winter there are many inland waters suited for ice fishing for Char.

Since it per this date not exists any organised fishing licence from the landowners, the only payment is the fishing fee to the State (may expire in 2002).
